What Causes Severe Pain After A Surgery For Fibrous Dysplasia?

Hi, I was diagnosed with fibrous dysplasia, had surgery to remove lesions had hardware put in, had a lot of pain so hardware was removed. Still in a lot of pain. Had a bone scan done, which says a mild uptake. My pain however does not feel mild. Should I get a second opinion? Have not been able to work due to the horrible pain. Please advise. Thank you.

Hello,

One of the most common complications of fibrous dysplasia of bone (FD) is bone pain.Usual pain killers are often of inadequate efficacy to control this bone pain. The mechanism of bone pain in FD remains uncertain.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
