What Causes Severe Pain Above The Navel And Excessive Saliva Production?

Hello,I m 18 years old,and I m having server pain above my belly button,and my mouth is constantly filling up with salvia,I am a liver transplant patient,I have bad acid reflux but it seems to only flare up a night time,I prop my head up at night nothing seems to help,I ve taken over the counter acid reducers and everything you think of,this has been the 2nd day this has been going on,I haven t ate very much,I get sour burps. What should I do?

Hi,

Noted the history about a 18 year old liver transplant patient, taken acid reducers but suffering from pain above naval, excessive salivation, sour burps all flare up at night.
Since you have undergone liver transplantation, all the medications should be taken after consulting your Doctor to avoid anything that can damage liver.
The cause of your symptoms looks to be gastritis and GERD.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult a Gastroenterologist.
Undergo upper GI Endoscopy, tests of blood.
MRI of abdomen.
You need antacid top be taken on empty stomach.
Early dinner helps a lot.
Do not sleep immediately after dinner.
PPI for acid reduction.
Further management as per the advise of your Doctors.
