Hi, my name is denise. I was diagnosed with breast cancer this past june. i have had 2 surgeries and after almost 3 months after my second surgery i started radiation treatments, my last one being dec 16th. i went to my 6 week follow up on jan 26th and felt great. the very next day i became so sick i could not stay at work and went home and fell immediately asleep for several hours. that afternoon i went to my primary care doc and she gave me levofloxacin 750 mg. i have never felt that sick that fast! she said it was pneumonia. about 4 days later although felling better my neck stiffened like i slept wrong but continued to stiffen much worse. this went on for about a week and was better but now has been getting worse again. do you think it is from the pneumonia or something else?should i be concerned about possibly cancer because i have just had it? i have an appointment with my cancer doc in 6 months and will have had another mammogram and cat scan done before i see her. also i no longer have my spleen. im doing some research about cancer and treatment options and nurtrition on my own but am getting more confused than anything else. they said i was cured of cancer but can it really be that easy? thank you or your opinion and answering my questions.
