What Causes Severe Lower Abdominal Pain?
I have pretty severe lower abdominal pain mostly on the left side , I think I'm ovulating , but my question and concern is I had a lost tampon for at least a week, Clinic could not see it but when i got home it took hours of attempts I got it out . Smelled putrid . Could I have an infection now. PID?What can I do to treat this?

Go for an ultrasonography- as this may give an idea about PID and ovulation and all other problems.
The left sided abdominal pain can be due to colitis also.
Take a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines should take of .
