Hi thanks for contacting HCM.. Here according to history you can have gastroenteritis like infective condition of GI tract ... It seems you are having blood also in stool.. For few days take empirical therapy with Ciprofloxacin for five days.. Omeprazole 20 mg capsule taken for two week (on empty stomach before meal).. Also take probiotic tablets for few days...(To replenish bacterial flora).. Avoid irritants foods like excess tea, coffe, meat,smoking etc.... Drink hot water for few days... Outside food and non veg food avoided for few days... Drink more water and maintain hydration... If still no improvement than stool examination done .. If shows amebic infection by showing eggs than metronidazole needed for it.. If needed further investigation done with stool culture and USG like investigation ... You can discuss all these with your treating doctor.... If still no improvement and cause not clear colonoscopy like investigation needed ... Take care ....
