HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The most common cause for acute (recently starting)
diarrhea, is an infection. Though in most cases, it goes on its own, children can become dehydrated easily so she should be taken to her doctor to be assessed since it has been 10 days.
He or she would examine her generally as well as the abdomen specifically along with checking to see if she has enough fluids inside (her hydration status).
It is understandable , at 6 months, to start foods, they are supposed to start at this age, some start slightly before. It is correct to stop the food since she is having diarrhea.
When the diarrhea resolves then she can restart solids along with her breast milk. Most persons start the cereals first eg rice cereal. Every new food must be given on its own for 3 days (meaning she can have the food along with her regular milk but cannot start 2 new foods at a time.)
If she starts more than 1 new food at a time, then , if a reaction occurs, would not know, what caused it.
I hope this helps
