What Causes Severe Itchy Rashes On The Thighs, Stomach And Back?
19 year old college student have terrible itchy rash on thighs stomach back and hand, doctor gave Zyrtec that made it worse, now he prescribed Prednisone, do you think that will help? What if is scabies or fungal infection? Itching has caused little red bumps all over

Hi Thanks for the query. I understand your concern. Itchy rash due to allergy responds to steroid very well... but in case of fungal infe tion it does not have any role in healing.On the contrary ithe rash gets worst with steroids. Scabies has typical itchy rash in body folds... carried from a sufferer by direct skin contact / contact with articles or clothes used by a patient. It also needs specific medication for cure... steroids don't have role in cure except for some relief from itching. Pl. consult a skin specialist for proper advise. Thanks.
