What Causes Severe Itching In The Scrotum While On Atenolol And Crestor?
Good Evening, Hisoty: - diabetic 2 yrs., boarder line HBP, Pure HyperCholestermia Medication for several years: Metformin 1000mg/day, Crestor, Tricor, Vit. B-12, Baby Asprin, Atenlol My main symptom for past 6 months (six months) - Intermitent scrotal itching - same spot - sometimes with redness or dry skin. I tried meds.: - 2% cream? for Yeast infection?, alternating with 1% Hydrocortozon,,,,,, only gives periodic releave, but itch seems to return ,,,,,,, it s the ONLY and main symptom - but becoming bothersome. I ve seen the doctor twice - but have been embarassed to discuss it with her (female, and new PCP). Any suggestions - Please, Thanks

Your symptoms seem to be related to a yeast infection.
I suggest you to use anti-fungal oral medication such as Fluconasole.
I also recommend using anti-fungal creams for local application.
Hygiene is very important, I recommend washing and drying frequenting the area.
