What Causes Severe Itching And Pain In The Vagina?

I have severe itchy, painful, throbbing in my vagina. No discharge or odor. Swollen and red, also, glands in my groin area are sore and a little swollen. I was on Amoxicillin recently. I tried monistat one application and just started the 3 day course with no changes. Had full hysterectomy 9 yrs ago, I am 45. I m loosing sleep and haven t left my house in a week. I had diarrhea for 4 days which seemed to subside thankfully! . Really don t want to go Dr. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a yeast infection.

I would recommend using anti fungal oral medication such as Fluconazole.

I also recommend to use anti fungal cream for local application.

You should use cotton underwear and wash and dry frequently the area.
