What Causes Severe Hot Flashes?

Hi, I m a bit worried Permia isn t going to work for my hot flushes, I ve been taking for a week and no change. Still have lots of hot flushes. I have spoken to lots of women who have instant results, im worried if it didn t help immediately it won t help at all. I have been having problems for a few years thought I could manage, but has become unbearable. Thanks Daphne.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to health care magic

You are having hot flushes and you are women...

So first high estrogen might be causative factor...

For that hormonal profile has to be investigated and history regarding ovarian lesion should be taken

To rule out ovarian problem if needed USG examination can be done...

Hyperthyroid also can lead high metabolic rate and heat intolerance..

Here your detail history and physical examination needed and accordingly further work up can be planned

Consult physician for examination
