What Causes Severe Heart Palpitations, Dizziness And Breathlessness?

I ve been having mild AND severe heart palpitations-some that cause dizziness, shortness of breath. My DO gave me an EKG and apparently left ventricle struggling with irregular electrical ....I am going to see a cardiologist for holter monitor for two weeks. Would like a straight answer about what this could be. I am 70 year old female. Had a right brain stroke 4 years ago-fully recovered w mild and infrequent losing balance. Ethical vegan (very healthy eating, 5ft 4in, 135lbs, low-normal blood pressure. No cause for stroke determined! What might I be at risk for and might this need a pacemaker? I do take a low dose statin every other day and a baby aspirin daily. I am a psychotherapist who is feeling a little anxious-obviously!!

I can understand your problem. First thing take a deep breath and relax, don't be anxious. You should definitely consult with cardiologist and do holter monitoring as advised. I want to ask, Are you Diabetic, Hypertensive? So you will get better idea from holter monitoring. You continue with statin and aspirin tablets as advised. Regarding decision pacemaker can be taken only after holter monitoring. Review back after holter monitoring as we have to rule out other causes. I recommend you COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT test, Chest X ray and MRI brain after consultation. I think this is helpful to you. Thank you.
