Yes, please help if possible. About 3 weeks ago, I had an extremely horrific headache that came on instantaneously. I am a 54 year old female with R/A, and I m on several meds for that. Methotrexate, Cimzia. M/S ER, Prednisone, among other meds. The meds have caused about a 40# weight gain in a 9 month period. I was 140#,now am 180. I am 5 10 . My BP has been slowly creeping upalso, and t the time of the H/A, I wasn t on anyhing for it. Now I m on Cardizem 180mg. ER per day. This nagging H/A had been hanging around daily for a month or more. It was totally left ided. My face was numb. I developed aphasia, and was very confused. I sought treatment and was diagnosed as bipolar for whatever reason. I saw no neurologist, even though one was on staff,but I saw a psychiatrist!! A CT scan of my head was done, along with labs. The scan was normal, they say. My K+ was 2.7, so they supplemented through my IV. I was hositalized, and watched on telemetry. Shouldn t an MRI and an EEG have been done? I have a lot of unanswered questions...
