What Causes Severe Headache And Redness In Eyes?

i have a severe headache every 3 hours once
- age is 50 years
-right side half headache
-running nose
-tears n redness of eyes
-duration of pain is half an hour or 40mins
-pains during mid nights
-no vomitings
please give me a solution for my problem

From the available description there is evidence of cluster type of headache. Unlike other types of headache such as migraine the cluster headache is of short duration and associated with eye symptoms such as redness of eyes, tearing, stuffiness of nose among others.

The most effective treatment for your condition is use of tryptan group of medications such as sumatryptan.Other options include sodium valproate, lithium and ergots.

In case all these options already exhausted the surgery can be considred which often involves block of tigeminal nerve.
