What Causes Severe Headache And Pain In The Joints?

I have flu like symptoms including severe headache and pain in joints especially lower back and hips. Fever over 100 and dark urine. I think I am severely dehydrated and wondering if I should seek medical help or ride it out on my own. My recent physical indicated kidney problems so I am concerned.

Hello
I understand your concern.
Dark urine could be a sign of dehydration, blood in the urine, or rhabdomyolysis ( breakdown of proteins into the urine).
Associated symptoms of fever and flu-like like symptoms ( although you don't specify your symptoms, they tend to be fatigue, runny nose, cough, fever and muscle aches) can be treated with acetaminophen and antihistamines.
As you mention that you have been told you have kidney problems, you should have laboratories to check your renal function. Dark urine is not a common symptom associated with the flu.
I hope you feel better
