Hello Sir, i have been treated for Tapeworm through albendazole and was prescribed around 30 tablets, soon after treatment i started to lose my hair (as hair loss is a side effect of albendazole ). howver, i went to a Doctor for curing my hair loss and was also feeling itchy scalp. i have been under treatment of MOrr-F 5% & Keraglow men from past 1 and a half month and am still losing some hair. can you please suggest me how much time it take to stop the hair loss.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think one month is enough to stop this fall as side effects of albentazole. You may also need to check liver, kidneys and thyroid. Impaired kidney function and liver function can cause hair loss. Hypothyroidism may cause also hairloss.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
