What Causes Severe Gastritis Along With Tingling In Urethra?

About 4 nights ago (sunday) I felt extreme gas pains which kept me up all night. The next day (monday) i felt no gas pains but started feeling a slight tingling sense in my urethria which resulted in frequent attempts at urinating but only weak streams. Last night, the symptons persisted and my wife also mentioned having the same symptons, i started to think it was a uti but then after taking a poop i started feeling extreme lower back and side pains. The pains became so intense that i drove myself to the hospital, but when i finally got there the pain was gone so i went back home and set up a doctors appointment for this weekend. Now its thursday night and all day i was fine until earlier tonight when i felt the extreme pains in my lower back and lower abdomenal area (right side) my wife is also feeling pain in her lower right back around to her groin/vaginal area. Is this just a UTI? Have we waited to long for a doctors apt and developed kidney infections? Is it possible kidney stones are causing this? I would like to just be informed and idk if i should wait for a dr apoitment or go to the ER. Thank you -Bryan Ps. I am a 27 y.o. and my wife is 28, she also has just had her period and we did have sex during this time.

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
Read and Reviewed your query in context to your health issues.
In the given scenario, the gaseous bloating with burning urination,is mostly due from UTI with Pyelonephritis or with accompanied ureteric stone and low fluid intake in you.The sexual interaction during menses, with flared up vaginitis-has lead to UTI in both partners, mostly.
I would suggest UA and USG abdomen to rule out-Pyelonephritis /and or / Ureteric/Renal stones .

Other cause of , need to be ruled out, by examination with Gynec and Urologist doctors.

Do's to find out the Cause-
USG abdomen with Urine Analysis-would fix the diagnostic issues with you.
Consults with Gynec and Surgeon or if need be Urologist, would resolve this health issue.
Hope this reply would help you to resolve the stinging sensation with help of doctors attending on you.
