What Causes Severe Flatulence?
I have a 6 yr old boys that constantly lets off smelly gas? He has an inguinal hernia so i m not sure if that would have anything to do with it all? should i start recording what food he eats to see if it is something that may be causing this? lactose???

Hi,
This can not be caused by inguinal hernia. Let him have more fibre rich items (green leafy vegetables, fruits, raw wheat) and drink plenty of fluids. Avoid non vegetarian items for few days. Instead, give proteins of plant origin(pulses, soy). These measures might help. Also, we need to treat constipation if any.
