What Causes Severe Fatigue Before A Bowel Movement?

Hi, I am a 26yo female, 105lbs and 5 3 . My dad has hashimotos and I have wondered if I have some sort of thyroid issue going on. I have heavy periods (around 70mls on day one, total period usually around 130mls). I am typically unable to leave home on the first day of my period due to feeling so weak. I have low blood pressure, around 94/60. I am almost always very cold after eating meals, and experience extreme fatigue before bowel movements maybe once/week. No issue with BM, just the fatigue beforehand is debilitating. I have all my energy back after going. My doctor has tested my TSH level a few months ago and it came back within the normal range (0.742 uIU/mL). Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

After going through your history, it suggests me that you are suffering from either anemia or hypochondriac disorder in the first case if you would have come to my clinic I would have asked you to underwent hemoglobin estimation, but if that too is normal then I would have considered you to suffering from hypochondriac disease in this person have some physical symptoms but no pathology behind it so for that case I would have suggested you meet a psychiatrist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Medhavi Agarwal
