What Causes Severe Fatigue And Shortness Of Breath?
I have extreme fatigue and shortness of breath with severe food allergies. A doctor said I am bi-polar, but the meds are not really helping me and I am worried they will make inflammation in my body worse. I am in fear all the time because I don't know how I am going to work and make money like this. I am very depressed and want to avoid people. My parathyroid levels were up a little bit, but they said nothing to worry about and I did have small tumors on my thyroid , scene in an ultrasound from endocrinologist. I had an E.KG. and stress test and they were fine.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Fatigue and shortness of breath are non-specific symptoms. Fatigue is commonly caused due to anemia or decreased hemoglobin. I suggest you to get complete hemogram done to assess the levels of hemoglobin in body. Shortness of breath can also be seen in cases of anemia. Thus, complete blood counts should be done to know the status of hemoglobin and red cell indices. On the other hand, bipolar illness can also cause fatigue and shortness of breath after a maniac episode. Thus, since you are suffering from bipolar illness, it is best to consult your treating doctor for complete assessment and thus management of the condition.
