What Causes Severe Fatigue And Excessive Sleepiness?

My husband had a stem cell transplant in early 2014. Has seemed fine and in remission since then. For the past three days he is feeling extreme fatigue, just feels wiped out, sleeping a LOT. No fever. Should we be contacting his cancer doctor immediately? I tend to panic when anything unusual happens. He is 71 years old.

Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a clinical exam by his treating Doctor and do [CBC] and Liver function tests.
2)Discuss with your Doctor about injectable vitamin b 12 and iron.

Do follow few lifestyle modifications like this-

1)Do take Iron-rich foods include beef and other meats, beans, lentils, iron-fortified cereals, dark green leafy vegetables, and dried fruit.

2)Take folic acid, which can be found in citrus fruits and juices, bananas, dark green leafy vegetables, legumes, and fortified breads, cereals and pasta etc

3)Do take [Vitamin B-12] and This vitamin is found naturally in meat and dairy products. It's also added to some cereals and soy products, such as soy milk.

4)Take foods containing vitamin C such as citrus fruits, melons and berries that help increase iron absorption.

Hope that helps
