What Causes Severe Fatigue And Chronic Pain While On Seroquel And Trazodone?

I AM ON A DRUG CALLED SEROQUEL... I WAS TAKING 100 MG AT NIGHT WITH 200 MG TRAZADONE TO HELP ME SLEEP... 2 WEEKS AGO IT WAS INCREASED TO 100 MG IN THE MORNING AND 200 AT NIGHT WITH THE TRAZADONE THE SAME BUT THEN DR SAID IT WAS FOR MY BIPOLAR... TODAY HE INCREASED MY SEROQUEL TO 2OO IN THE MORNING AND 400 AT NIGHT BUT DIDN T CHANGE THE TRAZADONE... BUT NOW HE SAYS MY BORDELINS SKITZOPRENIA IS FULL BLOWN AND THAT IS WHY THE CHANGE... HE ALSO INCREASED MY CARBAMAZEPINE THAT I WAS TAKING 100 MG EVERY 12 HRS TO 300 MG EVERY 12 HRS... I TOLD HIM TODAY THAT I WASN T ABLE TO CONCENTYRATE AND MY DAUGHTER SAYS I AM HAVING TROUBLE MAKING SENCE. I FEAR THIS IS AND HAS BEEN TOO MUCH OF AN INCREASE AND DONT KNOW WHO TO TURN TO... I WORRY MY LIFE COULD BE IN DANGER... YEH I KNOW CALL ME PARANIOD... I HAVE ALOT OF PHYSICAL ANDMENTAL PROBLEMS... HE SAYS HE HAS INCREASED THESE BECAUSE I AM ANGRY I AM SO ILL... I AM TIRED OF SEVERE CHRONIC PAIN AND ILLNESS 24/7 WITH NO REAL HELP... SO I AM SKITZO... MAYBE I AM JUST HUMAN

Hi,

Seroquel is used for schizophrenia, bipolar and at times as sleep aid. Your dr has increased the drug doses because you have not improved significantly. That is the right way of medication escalation.

The symptoms you are having are primarily due to your disease and not as a side effect of the drug. Be patient and compliant. As soon as blood levels of antipsychotics are achieved optimally, your symptoms will start improving. Also, get psychological counselling.
