What Causes Severe Dizziness And Nausea?

What could be causing me to become dizzy, even a bit nauseous when bending over and then straightening back up? Its happening more frequently these days. I have previously had a couple of intense vasovagel response episodes, one of which was so debilitating I spent the night in the hospital.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
You have got vertigo and nausea, even on bending. Had intense vasovagal response that you had to get admitted.
The probable causes are:
Cervical spondilitis causing vertebral basillary inadequacy syndrome.
The problem with hind brain called cerebellum
Internal ear swelling causing problems.
In addition the tumors pressing on the 8th cranial nerve can cause the same problem
Electrolyte imbalances and anxiety or stress can add on to the problem.

I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Clinical evaluation by a Neurologist and ENT Surgeon to get a clinical diagnosis and thence to go for the relevant investigations:
MRI of the brain and the cervical spine along with angiography studies.
Vertigo clinic evaluations if ENT problem is suspected.
A proper symptomatic treatment and of the specific treatment can be helpful...
