What Causes Severe Dizziness And Diarrhea?

I was sitting on the couch this weekend and started to feel really light headed and then started to sweat bad. I had this happen about 6 months ago and passed out, however this time I laid down, but still think I may have passed out. I had an upset stomach from eating ham for breakfast that same morning...could bad food or an allergic reaction cause me to sweat then pass out?
