Hello,

Dizziness is a common side effect after taking alprazolam and dependence happens with regular use for a time longer than a week.

The withdrawal depends on how long have you been using it and in which dose. In your case you seem to have been using the smallest tablet for 9 days.

I would recommend you to try to not use it as you seem on time to stop it. Remember you may have sleepless nights due to other causes as well, for the same reason you needed to use alprazolam so the sleepless nights might not be directly related to alprazolam withdrawal.

I would say that because it is not long that you have been using it, you may try to just stop it. If you notice it difficult at least have half of the tablet for some days and then half a tablet every other day for another few days.

If you have sleepless nights, do not start it over, if you are not able to cope with this please see your doctor as there are other sleeping pills that do not cause dependence that your doctor can give you and that can be used for longer times.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
