What Causes Severe Diarrhea After A Colon Surgery?

I have had surgery, but it was 12 inches of my colon the surgeon removed because of concern where the small intestine enters the colon...there was a mass located at that juncture...it wasn t ca...but now I have terrible diarrhea...why did he need to take out 12 inches..I don t know...he said something about blood supplyz to keep the colon active. What can I do about control.??

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the diarrhea most concern here then it may be due to infection or it may be due to dyspepsia in either of these case seldom need medication because it could be self limiting one, but care needs to be taken for dehydration if the symptoms persist then it may required proper diagnosis, as long as the operation is concern nothing could be said for sure until studied the case in detail hope this information helps.
