What Causes Severe Cramping On Starting Birth Control Pills?

Hey..I currently switched my birth control from the depo shot (only had 2 shots) to nora be oral that I just started Sundayand I have been experiencing bad cramps...so my question is: when will I get my period again and is this normal to have cramps like this??

Hi,

Slight menstrual irregularities and cramping can happen with hormonal pills especially on the initial days of usage.

Generally, it will settle by itself without any definite treatment. You can take analgesics like Mefenamic Acid for pain relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
