What Causes Severe Cough And Post Nasal Drip?

Hy I m a 42 year old male and I ve been having an uncontrollable cough that occurs every so often and one that I can t say I ve ever noticed having before. It feels as though somethings in the back of my throat and comes and goes like a sneeze attack

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe cough and post nasal drip which seems to be due to respiratory track infection and weak immune system due various diseases.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start treatment depending upon the cause. If it is due to bacterial infection then doctor can prescribe antibiotics along with antihistamines and decongestants which relives the symptoms like post nasal drip. You should take steam inhalation twice a day which will give relief from congestion and do warm saline gargles. Avoid intake of outside food and avoid cold beverages. You should maintain complete hygiene.
