What Causes Severe Constipation With Gastritis?

I haven t pooped in a good several months. I drink water, my doctor has me on stool softeners, laxative, and I poop but not a good one just water. I m bloated, I burp gas, and recently had trouble walking with severe back pain in the middle towards lower back...is this serious for me? I heard if it gets worse it can lead to death. Is that true?
