What Causes Severe Chest Pains?

I am 57 years old. Recently I have had severe chest pains that seem to follow the symtoms of a heart attack. I went
to my heart doc. 3 days ago, he did extensive test and said my heart was fine. I have tried the usual heart burn med.
that does not help at all. I think it is chest cramps. I am not a doc. When this happens it may last for hours then suddenly it is gone. Kind of like having a cramp in your leg, the pain is severe while having the cramp, then after it passes everything is normal. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Since your cardiac work up is normal, no need to worry for heart attack for your chest pain.
Stress and anxiety appears more in your case for the cause of your chest pain.
Stress is the common c use for heart burn.
And stress management should be done first to relieve the symptoms.
So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counseling sessions, try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anxiolytic drugs too. So avoid stress and tension. Be relax and calm. Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
