Upon returning from FL, every year for the last four years, I get severe blisters on the top of my toes. It usually begins about 4 days after returning home. We spent 3 weeks in FL. Last yr, I saw my dermatologist and he did a biopsy but was able to give me no answers. Neither has my GP. The blisters cover the length of 2-3 toes and then continue to grow till they join at the base of the toes on top of my foot. They are huge and last for weeks. Do you have any suggestions?
As per your case history, you are suffering from Pompholyx.
My treatment advice is:
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like Fusiderm-B cream twice daily on affected skin. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetrizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
