Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having back pain for several months now. It feels better after taking 800 mg of ibuprofen but then comes back. It seems worse in the am after rising. I take care of my frauds on and maybe I have strained it. Pain is worse when moving and walking. It is in mid back.
Sice the pain has been persisting for few months possibilities other than muscle strain needs to be looked into. Possible causes of back pain include osteoarthritis of spine, inflammatory arthritis, Osteoporosis, Intervertebral disc prolapse and spinal canal stenosis. Xray, MRI spine, blood investigations including ESR, RF, Vitamin D and calcium levels are warranted at this point. Meanwhile continue Ibuprofen for pain, apply heat to relax muscles and take rest.
Hope this answers your questions Please address further questions here Regards, Dr.Lekshmi
