Hi I have degenerative disease of lower back. I ocassionally have lower back pain coming and going.
Last Tues 4/12/11 I bent over to pick up small brick and felt the pain. It was painful the next day but I was able to walk and function. I did some back exercises 2 days later and now the pain is worse a week later.. I have slight bruising on lower back area. Ocasionally excrutiating pain in low back, right leg and hip. I feel good sitting or lying down for the most part. When I stand or walk I can't stand straight and it hurts to walk in back or leg. Did I try exercising to soon after injury. Is their anything I CAN DO TO LOOSEN BACK UP AND STAND STRAIGHT. EVEN WHEN I LOOK UP AT THE SKY THE LOW BACK IS PAINFUL bUT AGAIN WHEN I SIT DOWN AND LOOK UP ITS FINE...i PUT ICE ON BACK 3-4 TIMES DAILY. LET ME KNOW YPUR THOUGHTS.

Treatment of it is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. If you have no relief by this then you can take tramadol as it may cause severe pain.Rest is advisable in lateral position with both hips and knees flexed. Mecobalamine is helpful in resolving.
