What Causes Severe Ache On Sternum?
Hi, I have a severe ache on my sternum which used to come on occasionally ,but recently has been quite often. There seems to be no particular time or reason for this. It doesn't appear to be connected with food as I don't have acid reflux. Sometimes if the pain is really bad ,I get a tight feeling in my throat.

As per your query you have severe ache on sternum , which start occurring frequently . Well there can be many reaons for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux , cardiac problem like angina , lung infection and bronchitis ( COPD ) . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination without any delay . Doctor may order ECG , TMT , complete blood profile and chest X-ray to rule out condition like chest infection . Doctor may prescribe beta blockesr , calcium channel blockers , nitrogycerine and sedatives . Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist . For now take proper rest and do not exert your body .
