What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain During Bowel Movements?
Always before a BM, I get severe stomach pain. It lasts anywhere from 4-20 minutes. I ve been dealing with this since I was about 8 and I m 24 now. Was checked when I was younger for colon issues and he also checked for lumps? All turned up ok and apparently I was in good health. It s almost always in the morning after breakfast and sometimes before bed. Any ideas?

I can understand your concern.
You could be suffering from inflammatory bowel disease. It is difficult to make a pin point diagnosis without actually examining you. You may need an upper GI endoscopy and a colonoscopy to help the diagnosis part.
I would suggest you to
- Drink loads of water
- Avoid oily,spicy food
- Have a diet rich in fibres
- I would start tablet Pantoprazole . Your doctor can guide on the exact dosage
- I would also start syrup Lactulose to soften your stool
- Get a blood haemoglobin , total count , ESR done - to look at the amount of blood loss.
- I would also start Tablet Tranexamic acid as and when there is excessive bleeding.
- Avoid straining during stool
I would also suggest you to visit a physician . He/she can examine you and correlate clinically.
