General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Normally, abdominal pain is due to uterine contractions & stretching of the cervix while blood is expelled out & pelvic pain is due to excessive blood congestion at menstruation.

But your continued pain & prolonged brown vaginal discharge suggests problems like pelvic infection or incomplete abortion.

You need internal examination by a gynecologist & USG scan if needful to diagnose, followed by cause-specific treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
