What Causes Several Red Bumps Around My Anus?

Hello. Earlier in the week I had a very sore anus and I thought there was something sticking out from it. I could barely pass stool or urine due to the pain and when I did there was quite a lot of blood. I thought it might have been piles so used the piles cream and it seemed to shrink from what I thought. But now I have looked and have several red bumps around my anus Which are very sore to touch. Do you have any idea what this could be?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in to hcm.
From your description it suggests of piles.
Kindly consult a general surgeon for further investigations like proctoscopy.

Depending on the severity it may /may not need surgical intervention.

Also try to have foods rich in fibres- citrous fruits and vegetables to avoid constipation. Drink lots of fluids and water.

Regards,
Dr.Riyanka
