What Causes Scanty Menstrual Bleeding?

Hello, I am experiencing a weird period and I thought I could ask a professional. I got my period 3 days early, I started off spotting light light brown (barely noticeable) then as the days went on it seas darker and then the third day it got pink. Then I started bleeding not too too heavy I also got horrible cramps. Anyways yesterday it ended completely, I started getting watery discharge. I thought that was it then today I wiped and I'm spotting again. Do you know what this could be? I thought I might be pregnant but I ruled that out when I started bleeding. I heard of girls with experiences like this who ended up being pregnant. I have never been on birth control so that isn't the reason I'm spotting.

As a physician I would like to tell you that you are 100% not pregnant. But, to have a peace of mind you can take a home urine Pregnancy test to be 100% sure. I would also like to advise you that you should visit a MD Obgy doctor to get clinically examine to rule out other causes of heavy bleeding like fibroids, polyps, lacerations, infections etc.
