What Causes Scab To Turn Purple When Washing The Area?
I have been discharged from hospital after ten days on iv antibiotic now on oral flucloxacillin 500mg two four times daily. Have three and a half days left. Using aqueous cream bp liquid paraffin to moisturising. Yet when I stand or wash it the area around the scabb goes purple. Is there anything that causes this. Dopplore ultrasound done from groin to under knee shows good flow no dvt.

It is normal to change the color of scab on the surgical wound and that suggets the healing process. So, there is no need to worry...ok
