When my 95-year old father talks for more than 10 seconds, saliva pours out of his mouth. If he resumes talking, the same thing happens again after about 10-15 seconds. By the way, he takes Nexium for acid reflux, but he says it has not given him any relief. For much of his life he was an accomplished public speaker, but now refuses to attend events for fear that people will ask him to speak. I'm concerned because he's so concerned about this saliva (and sometimes plegm), issue. Can you suggest any relief or explanation?
