What Causes Rise In Prolactin Levels In Spite Of Taking Cabgolin?
hi....i am 30 yrs old married women,i was detected with high level of prolactin even though i was not pregnant.My periods are also not regular. So i started consuming tablet cabgolin(0.25mg) weekly (As per my doctor s advice) i saw decrese in prolactin level as soon as i took medicine but when i left it i again saw increase in prolactin level. is there any permanent solution or is it i have to take medicines life long??

I have read your description and understand your concern.
You are not supposed to discontinue this drug all of a sudden.
Once the normal serum level of prolactin has been reached, a steady state for minimum of 6 months has to be maintained. Only then you can discontinue the drug. Otherwise prolactin level keeps on increasing .
