General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your child symptoms of vomiting followed by administration of Gatorade in an empty stomach definitely will rehydrate the child and enhance increase in heart rate due stimulation of the heart to supply blood to the body system
So in view of this I am suggest before administer such drug always consult your physician
I hope this helps
