What Causes Ringing In Ears?

i have ringing in my ears but oddly when things are quiet, the ringing drops until it is almost gone. It only increases when I am out where there is ambient noise. I can be fine and walk into a restaurant and within 20 minutes the ringing increases.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain ringing can occur due to a number of causes like ear infection, excess ear wax accumulation, ear drum perforation,Meniere's disease, Acoustic Neuroma, TMJ disorders etc..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolarynglogist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy, x ray, MRI Scan and Audiometry can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised to take Tricyclic antidepressants like Amitryptalline, anti anxiety drugs like Alprazolam along with antibiotics if there is ear infection..
You can also be advised multivitamin supplements and also can do Neuromodulation..
