What Causes Ring Shaped Indentation In Legs?

I have what looks like a deep ring around middle of my legs, but I do not wear socks. It looks as if there was a tourniquet there, but of course I did not have a tourniquet. It is less noticeable early in the morning, but as the day progresses it becomes quite pronounced. It is not painful at the spot, but if I move around a lot my legs get tired and I have to sit and rest. What is this? Is it dangerous?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case and i think you may be having edema in the leg. It is common is patients who are either Diabetic, high blood pressure or low thyroid level. I would recommend you to visit your family physcian and get your blood pressure and blood sugar check. If there is any thing abnormal related to that then you can get it corrected.
It can also be possible if you stand for long hours and so If your job profile demand so I would recommend you to wear ted stocking. Avoid smoking and Alcohol.
I hope this answer will be helpful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
