What Causes Rigidity In A Lewy Body Dementia Patient On Intake Of Citalopram?

My dad has Lewy body dementia he has been prescribed 10 ml citalopram 50 ml quetiapine and 6ml rivastigmine when he takes the medication in the morning he goes rigid cannot move and sometimes falls, he blood pressure drops drastically, this is now happening every day we are being told that this it to do with the Lewy body and not e medication?

LBD (Lewy Body Dementia) is Parkinsonism associated with visual hallucination. Rigidity that you are mentioning is a part of Parkinsonism. In Parkinsonism there is decreased amount of Dopamine which causes rigidity and increased amount of Acetyl choline which causes tremors.
All these disbilities might cause depression. And to treate it Citalopram is given, Rivastigmine is given foe Dementia.
So this rigidity is not due to these medications but because of the disese he has. Hope i have cleared your query.
