Hi I have a had a lump on the right side of my neck for about 4 months now. I noticed it when I had a bad cold and a plugged ear. the cold went away but the lump stayed so I went to see my GP. She felt it and said it is highly mobile and not fixed and should go down. I was concerned so she said I can go in for an ultrasound. I went in about 8 weeks later because it was still there. Technician couldn t say anything, except told me its flat like a pancake, 1cm x .5 x .1. My doctors office (receptionist) told me the next day that no further action is required, that it is benign. I ve had no followup with my GP about this, so I called the office to get a referral to an ENT and now I am just waiting for that appointment to get scheduled. The lump is the exact same size, appeared smaller to me a couple days ago because I did not touch it, but it could just be wishful thinking. I am so worried that I made an appointment with another doctor, I am going tomorrow. I don t know what I am going to do, I am fearing the worst, I have a small child and are hoping to try for a 2nd but that plan could be out the window if I am facing some serious health issues. Any advice would be appreciated. Regards
