What Causes Right Sided Abdominal Pain With History Of Gallbladder Wall Thickening?

I recently had an ultrasound done and it showed that my gallbladder wall was thickened 4mm with a positive Murphy sign. I am also having recurring upper right abdomen pain under ribs sometimes radiating up to right collar bone. Seems to get worse after eating also nausea I ve had a low grade fever for days I would like to know if my gallbladder could be causing all this and if a gallbladder is ever removed without evidence of gallstones?

Hello dear user!
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns!
Thank you for sharing them on healthcaremagic.
Yes, I think the cause of your right side pain and the fevers you have had are due to your gallbladder. It seems you have a gallbladder infection. So in this case you would need a cure with antibiotic to treat the infection, and some anti acid drugs to remove the gastric symptoms and pain after eating. You can pass this situation by medications only without needing a surgery but since the gallbladder walls are thickened, you have to do periodic controls of your gallbladder. Soon or later it will be removed if it causes problems in advance.
Talk to your doctor at your healtchare center to give you antibiotics and antiacids. Have light meals and avoid foods that worsen the symptoms such as salty, spicy foods, fats, chocolates, alcohol etc.
I hope this answer was helpful to you!
