What Causes Refusal To Feed In A Child?

i wanted to ask for advice regarding my 11 month old son he was norn at 37 weeks weighing 4.13 and was in special care being tube feed for the first three weeks of his life . he has always been small and now weighs 12.10 . he refuses to drink milk at all i asked his gp about this a while ago and he said to make sure i feed a healthy balanced diet which i proceed to do. but lately i was then told no i must give him the milk so i tryed again with the same result he refuses to open his mouth or does then drops his jaw . i have now beenn told he is milk intorant because of this . i personally believe this may not be the case as he has between 5 and 8 poos a day and it comes out as it goes in what could be the cause of this there is dwaftism and hypermobibility in my family history

Hi Mom - it is perfectly natural to turn away from milk at this age and you want to wean him off the bottle. You may always try full fat yogurts to get needed calcium and puddings. If the baby is lactase deficient whenyou give baby milk, he will become gassy and crampy. Thank you for coming to HCM. My best wishes for your babies continual health!
