What Causes Redness On The Eyelid Along With Inflammation And Itching?

I have a problem with itchy burning eyelids. My lower lip is also very itchy in one spot. i woke this morning and my right eyelid was red and burning. it looks red and saggy compared to my other eye. i have gone to allergists and dermatolgists and had all of the tests, but they didn t find anything that was causing it. now, I have been noticing though, that it gets worse when I have my period, also I think I am starting to go through menopause, so I am sure it is a combination of all those factors. Have you heard of this before? i have also started to itchy red splotches behind my right knee and inside of both elbows. Thanks.

Dear: Thanks you for using our service I read the question in detail I will help you with my medical advice. The information of your eyelidcould be secondary to a dermatitis allergy or any other skin condition. The rash that you are describing your elbow and behind your knee could be associated to a skin condition as psoriasis. Sometime when you have menstrual period that can make you more susceptible to have fluid retention and inflammation of the eyelid. I advise you to have an ophtalmologic evaluationto make sure that your eyelid inflammation is not related to any eye condition. You can try and over-the-counter allergy medication to see if that helps the skin rash.
