What Causes Redness In Eyes, Body Pain And Fever?

My 22 year old daughter is away at school. She is complaining of red, burning eyes, body aches, and fever. I don't know how high her fever is because her thermometer broke. There is no sore throat, no vomiting, and no stiff neck. This started about 24 hours ago and seems to be peaking now-I told her to take advil and drink plenty of fluids--any thoughts or suggestions

You can have some idea from pulse rate. normal is 72per minute. it will be higher. what ever precaution you have advised isok now you can add cold sponging-and continue till temperature come down.
