What Causes Redness In Eye?

Hi, I noticed my husband had a red eye. He s had it for about 5 days now and It s swollen. At first we thought it was allergies because he was sneezing a lot the day before it came up. Then after his eye started turning red, its been getting more red every day. We then thought a broken blood vessel. It causes himpain to bend down, he says it feels like its going to explode, same when he coughs. It s his right eye and his right nostril is slightly stuffy, nothing big. Help please:) I m worried. Thank you:)

Hello
I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that your huband is probably having redness of the eye because of subconjunctival hemorrhage.
No treatment is generally required in this condition as it resolves by 1-2 weeks.
However if there is pain, watering... you need to consult your eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
